On March 15, 2021, the KSA Ministry of Commerce issued a recall for the Hitachi Washing Machine Model #SF-H120XA due to non-compliance with the Saudi Standard for Energy Efficiency. Consumers are encouraged to check that the product serial number is included on the website. Contact the company to arrange an appointment for a technician to remove the washing machine and recover the purchase amount in cash.

SASO issued a notification that effective immediately that all shipment certification requests for Non-Medical Face Masks (HS Codes 481890000002, 481890009999, and 630790970002) will require that importers or manufacturers complete an Importer Product Declaration form. Importers or manufacturers must submit the form to the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources for approval and then forward the approved form to the Certification Body (CB). Approved CBs are instructed to collect this document and shall not issue the Shipment Certificate of Conformity (SC) for Non-Medical Face Masks until it is received.
