On April 18, 2023, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) announced that SASO will be following the EU ban on Sodium Perborate detergents from the EN 60456:2016 standard for washing machines starting May 27, 2023. Detergents containing Sodium Per-Carbonate will still be permitted based on IEC 60456:2010/AMD 1:2022. For more details concerning this requirement, please contact QIMA at certification@qima.com.
On April 2, 2023, the KSA Ministry of Commerce issued a recall for The Laundrys Fabric Softener due to the possibility of chemical inpurities that may cause health risks. Consumers are instructed to stop using the product immediately and contact the company for a refund.
